 is week will focus on a different direction of the broad field students of

 in collaboration with practical association GEOS. Lecture: ‘Geomatics &a

 any. Next to shaping a better world using parametric design\, they also mo
 nitor the world around us using advanced spatial analysis tools. Workshop

 uring the geomatics workshop CGI\, they will take you on a flight! Simulta
 neous localization and mapping has been taken to the next level with the H
 ololens. Join the workshop and find out how this helps firefighters save l
 ives! TUESDAY 2 MARCH | BUILDING TECHNOLOGY Organized in collaboration wit
 h practical association BouT. Lecture: ‘An introduction to building tech
 nology’ 12:45 - 13:45 | Twitch The lecture will be an overview of the fi
 eld of building technology. It will consist of a short introduction to the
  field by students who are in different design studios\, after which a few
  alumni will share how they are working in the building technology field r
 ight now. To conclude\, a few companies will share the value building tech
 nology students bring to the industry. Workshop 1: ‘Introduction to circ
 ular building products’ 14:00 - 16:00 | Zoom (link will be sent after yo
 ur registration via e-mail) | max. 21 participants Learn about the circula
 r built environment and what it means for future product design. Get an in
 troduction with a series of short lectures and videos. Work on your own bu
 ilding product in breakout sessions with teachers and your fellow students
 . Together we will discuss the future of BT and your role in it. No prepar
 ation or materials needed. Workshop 2: ‘Rice\, paper\, scissors’ 14:00

 ax. 20 participants Structural design is the art and science of devising l
 oad bearing systems that are resource-efficient and elegant. Nature is an 
 excellent structural designer\, for example ants can carry 50 times their 
 weight. Can you do better? In this workshop we will start with the basic e
 ngineering properties of one material (paper) and we will discuss strategi
 es that can be useful for stiffening and strengthening this material. You 
 will then be tasked with designing and building a paper structure to carry
  a load over a given span. We will then load test your structure to destru
 ction\, analyse the failure mechanism and determine the strength-to-weight
  ratio of your structure. Have you beaten the ant? WEDNESDAY 3 MARCH | ARC
 HITECTURE Organized in collaboration with practical association Argus. Lec
 ture: ‘Office Overzee: Making do and starting up’ 12:45 - 13:45 | Twit
 ch Two recent architecture graduates will share their experiences as a new
 ly founded and upcoming architecture studio. This lecture will give you a 
 look behind the scenes at what it means to start your own office and becom
 e an architect in the Netherlands. Workshop: ‘Night of Philosophy podcas

 -mail) | max. 30 participants We want to invite you to join us in making a
 n experimental podcast that reinterprets Zoom as a space of connection and
  architectural discourse. In exploring themes that personally and academic
 ally affect us during these challenging times\, we want to come together t
 o think\, talk\, and listen. THURSDAY 4 MARCH | URBANISM &amp\; LANDSCAPE 
 ARCHITECTURE Organized in collaboration with practical association Polis. 
 Lecture: ‘Government\, private\, academic or NGO space\, where do you en
 d up?’ 12:45 - 13:45 | Twitch During this interactive lunch lecture 3-4 
 people will discuss a number of potential career paths after a master in u
 rbanism or landscape architecture. People that took different paths will s
 tart conversations together to see how different their lives are and what 
 they do now. Workshop: ‘City building game: Hometown’ 14:00 - 16:00 |

 icipants Cities are different all over the world. In this workshop we will
  learn from each other and see how everyone perceives a city in a differen
 t way. So\, everyone has an own\, particular idea about what a city is\, f
 ormed by their particular geographical and cultural background. We are eag
 er to know what your idea of a city is. Starting with your own hometown! F
 RIDAY 5 MARCH | MANAGEMENT IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT Organized in collabora
 tion with practical association BOSS. Lecture: ‘a day in the life of man
 agement in the built environment (MBE) alumni’ 12:45 - 13:45 | Twitch Du
 ring the lunch lecture\, three graduates that have chosen different career
  paths share their experience of their endeavours after they have graduate
 d by giving field related examples. Meet &amp\; Greet 13:45 - 14:45 | Zoom

 ants After the lunch lecture\, you have the opportunity to ask your questi
 ons regarding the lecture and the field of management in the built environ
 ment. The three graduates from the lunch lecture\, MBE students and teache
