Stylos Design Contest: The Green Village

The Green Village is currently working on making a design for a Co-Creation centre. They are developing this  together with various companies and professors of the TU Delft, such as prof. Rob Nijsse, prof. Andy van den Dobbelsteen, Royal HaskoningDHV and provincie Zuid-Holland. This Co-Creation centre accommodates a place for research, inspiration and workshops.

Until the realisation of this permanent building for the Co-Creation centre, the Green Village is looking for a temporary pavilion. This pavilion would serve as a precursor of the Co-Creation centre.

The most promising and ambitious design will be realised so it can serve as a venue for the Research Exhibition of the TU Delft. This exhibition will be opened on June 6 and has a festive character because of the 175th anniversary of the TU Delft.

WHAT

The student is given the opportunity to design a temporary Co-Creation centre. This temporary pavilion must be in line with the permanent building the Green Village is developing. The theme of the pavilion should be “hot and cold”. The temporary Co-Creation centre is a small, enclosed pavilion which can accommodate exhibitions and workshop spaces.

The deadline for the realisation of this temporary pavilion is June 1st. Because of the deadline, the design should take the feasibility of the preparations and construction of the pavilion into account.

WHERE

The Green Village is located onto the field of the old Architecture Faculty of the TU Delft. The Green Village accommodates and assembles different technical developments of the university. The Co-Creation centre will be located on the north side of the Green Village, next to the entrance of the area.
