MVRDV is a globally recognised architecture and urbanism practice, headquartered in Rotterdam, with offices in Shanghai, Paris, Berlin and New York. As an intern at MVRDV, you’ll join an energetic, international team of over 250 professionals from more than 40 nationalities. You’ll gain hands-on experience working on ground-breaking projects, collaborate with industry-leading architects, and push the boundaries of design. Application process:

• You have between now and the 2nd of November 2025 to submit your application. 
• Interviews will take place between the 19th and 26th of November.
• Successful candidates start on the 2nd of March 2026! 
• Important: You must remain enrolled in an eligible university study programme between the 2nd of March and the 31st of August 2026 to be considered for an internship.

About the Studio
The Architecture Studios at MVRDV are responsible for designing innovative and sustainable buildings and structures. Our studios work on a wide range of projects, from small-scale residential buildings to large-scale commercial and cultural complexes. Have a look here for some examples. 
Depending on your profile and experience, you’ll be considered for one of the following geographically-oriented Studios: Americas, Asia, NLplus (Netherlands and a number of other territories), DAS (German-speaking countries), or FRAME (Francophone/Middle East). These Studios principally focus on projects in these regions.  

About the role
As an Architecture Intern at MVRDV, you’ll dive into a dynamic studio environment where bold ideas and quick thinking are part of the everyday. You’ll be guided by top international designers on projects and competitions, contributing to ambitious concepts, detailed drawings, and striking visualisations. It’s an exciting opportunity to sharpen your skills, push your creativity, and get a true taste of working at the forefront of architecture. 

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with concept development and design proposals. 
• Producing drawings, diagrams, and 3D models.
• Creating visuals and presentation materials for competitions and clients.
• Joining team meetings and design critiques.
• Researching materials, site conditions, and architectural references.

We are looking for a full-time (40 hours/week) architect intern to join us on-site (at the office 5 days a week) from the 2nd of March 2026 to the 31st of August 2026, for an exciting 6-month internship. More specifically, we are looking for students with: 

• Strong design and CAD skills. 
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite and solid 2D and 3D rendering abilities (please specify your experience with each software in your application).
• Ability to work well in international teams.
• Excellent verbal and written English; additional languages are a plus. 
• Authorised to work in the Netherlands (through being an EU citizen, having a Dutch permit or working holiday permit ). For this position, we can only consider candidates who are already legally allowed to work in the Netherlands. We’re unfortunately not providing visa sponsorship for this role.
• Enrolled as a student for the entire duration of the internship (proof required).
