In de stijl van Italo Calvino’s Onzichtbare Steden stelt Romanelli de vraag: hoe leeft een stad in onze verbeelding voort? Met wonderschone beelden en verhalen filosofeert Venice Elsewhere over de culturele impact van een stad. Over de kracht van de verbeelding en de tragiek van het verlies. De stad als de absolute metafoor van het leven.
