Saartje van der Made, architect / partner at Benthem Crouwel Architects will share insights about her passion to work on public buildings, from small and intimate to large and complex - always in very close collaboration with both client and users, to ensure the end result is a building that is not only beautiful, but meets everyone’s needs.

Saartje graduated with honours as architect at the TU Delft in 2008. She joined Benthem Crouwel the same year and became a partner in 2017. Saartje worked on a wide variety of projects, such as Amsterdam Museum and Museum Arnhem, the North/South metro line and the head office for the Charity Lotteries in Amsterdam.

Saartje is an inventive and original designer with the talent to come up with surprising, 'out of the box' solutions to a clients questions. Working together with experts from a variety of disciplines, she creates an environment of open communication where interaction and inspiration are key. This approach ensures an intuitive design process in which everything is possible, resulting in a vision that embodies the essence of the project.
